On June 20th House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Representative George Miller (D-CA), and 30 Something Working Group Members Kendrick Meek (D-FL), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and Tim Ryan (D-OH) joined college students to call on Republicans to reverse the raid on student aid. Students are already being squeezed by the Republican Congress’ $12 billion in cuts to student aid. Recently, Democrats unveiled their New Direction for America which includes a proposal to make college tuition more affordable.
