Muster on the Mount: The Battle Begins

The Democrats of the East consisting of Washington, Sullivan, Carter, Unicoi, Johnson, Hawkins and Greene County Democratic Parties are please to announce a significant regional political rally for the kick-off to the 2010 Tennessee Elections.

We cannot think of a more appropriate location to kick off the most important election in the history of the state of Tennessee than at historic Rocky Mount. It is the oldest original territorial capital still standing inside the United States. The event will provide the people of NE Tennessee with the opportunity to hear all Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates (Ward Cammick, Roy Herron, Kim McMillan and Mike McWherter). Eddie Yokely, Representative of House District 11 and Nathan Vaughn, former Representative of House District 2 will also be speaking. Other special quest will be present.

The event will include a traditional Tennessee picnic catered by Dixie Barbeque. Live music will also be provided. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Each county party will have party tents where deserts and crafts will be sold.

There will be no whining, tea parties and you won’t be encouraged to succeed for the Union. Hard working middle class people will not be asked to protest to protect the tax loopholes for the rich and corporations. People will have the opportunity to hear solutions to the important issues that face the middle class families of NE Tennessee and the state of Tennessee.

Tickets for the event cha be purchased at http://www.actblue.com/page/musteronthemount
