About the TFCD
The Tennessee Federation of College Democrats of America is a group designated to unite, lead and coordinate chapters of College Democrats of America on university campuses throughout Tennessee. CDA has outlined the following goals for TFCD:
- To build College Democrats membership by reaching out to unorganized colleges and universities;
- To mobilize and organize existing chapters to support student issues and the Democratic Party in your state;
- To provide a reliable point of contact for CDA and the national Democratic Party; and
- To provide a mechanism through which campus chapters can work and share ideas with neighboring chapters.
Mission Statement
The Tennessee Federation of College Democrats an organization dedicated to organizing and maintaining chapters of the College Democrats of America at colleges and universities in Tennessee.

Through promoting the ideals and beliefs of the Democratic Party, the mission of the Tennessee Federation of College Democrats is to unite all college democrats within the state of Tennessee to encourage activism and foster interest in government and politics, thus providing growth and development in chapters throughout the state.
History
The state federation was founded in 1999. The federation’s first group of officers was elected in 2000. Our chapters span all three regions of the state, and include both public and private schools alike. Through the efforts of College Democrats of America chapters, we are uniting our voice in support of our great nation.
